Careers at Keatons
Introduction
We opened our first office in the spring of 1998 with just 4 people. Since then we've grown into a substantial business, operating five offices across North and East London and employing over 85 staff. Over the past five years we've maintained an annual growth of 35% which is something we are particularly proud of.
We believe a cornerstone of our success is our ability to retain staff – something we are highly regarded for in the property industry. Put simply, our people enjoy working for Keatons - and want to stay.
The Company Ethos
What has to come first is a very high standard of customer service. We achieve this by understanding the importance of communication, something the industry has been slow to do. Transparency, clarity, honesty and speed in all things, allied with the best marketing and IT tools available, make for satisfied customers.
We have a real desire to change people's perception and experience of dealing with the property industry. We see it as a vital aspect of our approach to business, to give customers the best possible experience and do our bit to reinforce positive perceptions.
None of this is possible without high quality staff. It is only highly valued & motivated, thoroughly trained & well paid employees who will ensure the company's future success.
Our employees - the most important asset
Hopefully you are thinking of applying for a job at Keatons. We've told you about our approach to business but what would it be like to work for us?
You can't deliver really excellent customer service if the people in your organisation are not happy. And that means finding a healthy balance between hard work and enjoyment. If you are working with good people, the best technology & marketing systems, in a great environment, work can be fun – and highly satisfying.
Our remuneration packages are at the higher end for the industry. What's more, every role within the company has a performance related component. We believe this ensures that everyone is pulling in the same direction, which is a tremendous asset for any business.
Everyone's point of view and observations are important – that's why we run an in-house suggestion scheme. This gives every employee the opportunity to relay their comments or ideas directly to the Managing Director – all useful ideas receive recognition and often a small bonus as well.
We ensure that everyone who joins Keatons is qualified or thoroughly trained for the position they will hold, sometimes engaging external trainers when we feel someone will really benefit. The objective is for you to have complete confidence in your role at Keatons. Everyone in our organisation has an annual review to discuss their performance and their future role with us – and to feed back any issues they may have. This is very much a two way meeting.
We try to make Keatons a fun place to work. There are a number of incentive schemes to promote success, with prizes including a day at Ascot, a trip abroad on a private plane or a weekend away on the Orient Express. And of course there is the annual Christmas trip where sales teams are invited to a European destination. Great fun, but also team building.
If you're looking for a challenging dynamic career, why not view our opportunities.
